Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ enters Rs 500 cr club in India

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Yash Raj Films' Pathaan is an all-time blockbuster and is already the highest grossing Hindi film worldwide with gross collections of Rs 1003 crore. Today, it became the first Hindi film to enter the coveted Rs 500 crore (nett) club in India with its Hindi version.

Commenting on this unprecedented feat, Akshaye Widhani, CEO, Yash Raj Films said, “As a studio, we are humbled by the response Pathaan is getting across the world. Part of Aditya Chopra's ambitious YRF Spy Universe, Pathaan has also become the highest grossing film of any spy franchise in India. Akshaye said, “With a result like this, YRF's spy universe has only grown stronger, and we feel a great responsibility to make this universe even better and extremely diverse with every film that comes out of this legendary series that has brought four back-to - blockbusters back. We want to offer viewers diverse, engaging stories that will expand the YRF spy universe for years to come.”

Pathaan has been an incredible success at the domestic and international box office. Pathaan, the fourth Tuesday, was solid as a rock at the box office. It grossed Rs 1.14 crore nett in India (Hindi – Rs 1.10 crore, all dubbed versions – Rs 0.04 crore).

Also starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapdia and Ashutosh Rana, the film was released on January 25.
