A disturbing incident unfolded aboard an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Goa, as captured in a viral video showcasing a passenger physically assaulting the pilot. The assailant, Sahil Kataraia seated on 28F, expressed his frustration over a staggering 13-hour flight delay by launching punches at the pilot, who was announcing the delays due to adverse weather conditions, specifically dense fog at the Delhi airport.
The assault occurred amid widespread flight disruptions with nearly 110 flights facing delays and 79 cancellations, leading to an average delay of 50 minutes. The cabin crew intervened, attempting to shield the pilot from the assailant. Another passenger successfully managed to calm down the agitated individual, escorting him away from the tense scene.
