The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple has introduced a new service allowing devotees to receive temple offerings through speed post, announced by the postmaster general of Varanasi Region, Krishna Kumar Yadav. Under an agreement between the department of posts and the temple trust, devotees can now avail themselves of the temple's Prasad, including sacred items such as the image of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga, Mahāmrityunjaya Yantra, Rudraksha beads, and more, through the speed post service.
To utilize this service, devotees need to remit an e-money order of ₹251 in favor of the senior superintendent of post offices, Varanasi (East) Division-221001, from the nearest post office. The Prasad will be dispatched promptly upon receipt of the e-money order and will be delivered in tamper-proof packaging. Additionally, devotees can also obtain Prasad directly from the Varanasi City post office counter for ₹201 during working hours. Complete address details, pin code, and mobile number are mandatory for e-money order remittance to ensure Speed Post booking details are sent via SMS.
