Kolkata Airport makes history by welcoming first Giant Airbus Beluga XL
The second G-20 summit has kicked off in Siliguri after the first one was held in Gujarat's Kutch. A delegation of 151 people from various countries landed at Bagdogra airport on Saturday to participate in the conference. The foreign guests were warmly welcomed with traditional music and dance performances.
On Monday, April 3, foreign guests attending the G-20 Summit will be received at Darjeeling Railway Station, Batasia Loop, and will be taken on a tour of Darjeeling Railway Station and Raj Bhavan. A special cultural program organized by the Ministry of Tourism awaits them at the Mall intersection of Darjeeling.
Union Tourism Minister G Kisan Reddy, Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh, and other dignitaries will be present on the occasion. The foreign delegates attending the G-20 summit will return from Bagdogra on April 4 by a special flight.
The G-20 summit is a forum for global economic cooperation and decision-making, bringing together heads of state and other leaders from the world's 20 largest economies. This year's conference in Siliguri aims to promote international economic growth and address issues related to finance, trade, and other economic matters.
