Six killed, seven injured as wedding bus rams truck in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur

At least six people were killed and seven others injured after a bus returning from a wedding procession rammed into a truck in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur, triggering panic and a large-scale rescue operation. The accident occurred when the bus, carrying passengers from a शादी procession, collided with the truck, leading to severe casualties on the spot.

Police officials said teams rushed to the accident site immediately after receiving information and began rescue and relief operations. The injured were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, while six victims were declared dead. Authorities confirmed that the condition of several injured passengers remains under medical observation.

According to officials, there were around 12 people on board the bus at the time of the incident. One of the individuals remains unidentified, with initial suspicion that the person could be the driver. The truck involved in the collision has been removed from the site, and normal traffic movement has since been restored.

Family members of the victims have reached the location, and legal formalities are currently underway. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident, while the incident has once again raised concerns over road safety and vehicle management during late-night travel after social events.
