Government emphasizes development and preservation of cultural heritage

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee conveyed her warm wishes to the nation on the occasion of New Year and Bangla Day, underscoring the government's commitment to various developmental initiatives.

Banerjee announced, "the state government is spending Rs 200 crore for the beautification of Kalighat temple and the work of skywalk is also in the final stage and people will get the gift of skywalk before Durga Utsav."
