Following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case related to an alleged liquor policy scandal, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spent his first night in ED custody under relatively modest conditions. Despite his diabetic condition, the probe agency ensured that appropriate arrangements were in place for Kejriwal's comfort.

Kejriwal's night at the ED's lock-up began with dinner before being transferred to the office premises. Reports indicate that he was provided with bedding and a blanket, but no proper bed was arranged. Throughout the night, he occupied a space equipped with air conditioning but was provided only with a mattress and blanket. Despite the absence of special arrangements, Kejriwal was offered tea, coffee, and breakfast during his stay, demonstrating the ED's adherence to his medical needs.

Despite his arrest, Kejriwal will continue to serve as Delhi Chief Minister, as confirmed by AAP sources. It is expected that he will challenge his arrest by approaching a trial court. Kejriwal spent the night at the ED's office on Delhi's Abdul Kalam Road and is scheduled to appear before a special court dedicated to handling cases related to the probe agency.
