Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly had a narrow escape on Thursday when his car was involved in an accident on the Durgapur Expressway while traveling to Burdwan for an event. A lorry suddenly overtook his convoy, causing the driver to brake abruptly, leading to a chain reaction where the cars behind collided, with one hitting Ganguly’s vehicle.
The incident occurred at Dantanpur, but fortunately, no one was injured. Ganguly's car sustained minor damage, along with another vehicle in the convoy. The sudden halt delayed him for about 10 minutes before he resumed his journey to Burdwan University for a scheduled function.
Despite the scary incident, Ganguly maintained his composure and continued with his planned engagements. At Burdwan University, he interacted with students and dignitaries, discussing Indian cricket’s future and sharing memorable anecdotes from his career. His calm and professional approach reassured his hosts and fans.
Known for his leadership and resilience, Ganguly handled the situation with ease, ensuring that the accident did not disrupt his commitments. His ability to stay composed under pressure was once again evident, much like his days on the cricket field.
