South Eastern Railway has announced temporary changes in train operations due to ongoing developmental work in the Nagpur Division, leading to the cancellation of several long-distance trains and extension of select special train services. The changes are scheduled to take effect across different dates in April 2026 and are aimed at facilitating infrastructure upgrades. According to railway officials, Train No. 18030 Shalimar–LTT Mumbai Express will remain cancelled from April 4 to April 24, 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 18029 LTT Mumbai–Shalimar Express will not operate from April 6 to April 26, 2026, affecting regular connectivity between eastern India and Mumbai.
In addition, Train No. 12101 LTT Mumbai–Shalimar Express has been cancelled on twelve specific dates in April — April 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 22, 2026. Correspondingly, Train No. 12102 Shalimar–LTT Mumbai Express will remain cancelled on April 6, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23 and 24, 2026.
To minimise inconvenience to passengers, South Eastern Railway has extended the services of certain special trains. Train No. 06081 Thiruvananthapuram–Santragachi Special, which runs every Friday, will operate from January 30 to February 20, 2026. Similarly, Train No. 06082 Santragachi–Thiruvananthapuram Special, running every Monday, has been extended from February 2 to February 23, 2026. The railway administration has expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers due to these changes. Travellers have been advised to check updated train schedules and running status before planning their journeys during the affected period.
