Statue of Equality, tallest statue of Dr. Ambedkar unveiled in the heart of America

The tallest statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of India's Constitution, was formally inaugurated in a Maryland suburb of the U.S. capital, Washington D.C. Standing at 19 feet tall, the ';Statue of Equality' was unveiled amidst chants of 'Jai Bhim' by over 500 Indian-Americans, some of whom traveled long distances to attend the historic event.

The statue, created by renowned sculptor Ram Sutar, who also crafted the Statue of Unity of Sardar Patel in Gujarat, symbolizes the ideals of equality and justice that Dr. Ambedkar advocated.
