Trinamool All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee has taken an unusual stance in response to the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) summons, which calls for him to appear on October 3. Abhishek, who had previously cooperated with ED inquiries, has now challenged the ED summon, citing his commitment to participating in a protest program in Delhi. The summon is related to a recruitment corruption case.
Abhishek Banerjee had earlier been questioned by the ED on September 13. However, in response to the latest summon, he posted earlier on his social media platform that Trinamool has scheduled a protest in Delhi on October 3 to voice their grievances against central deprivation and he is supposed to attend the program on October 2 and 3. But, incidentally, this protest coincides with the date of his ED summons.
After Thursday, Abhishek tweeted about it on X handle on Friday as well and wrote, 'The way West Bengal is being deprived, the way it is not getting the money it deserves, we will continue this fight. We will not ignore any obstacle There is no force in the world that can stop me from joining this fight for the rights of the people of West Bengal I will join the protest program in Delhi on 2nd and 3rd October If you can, stop it!'
