Student alleges sexual harassment by conductor on Hooghly bus; Passengers confront and assault accused

The student, feeling uncomfortable, exited the bus at the Haripal bus stand to report the incident to nearby individuals.

After the student shared her experience, other passengers quickly confronted the conductor, demanding an explanation regarding the allegations. The confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, during which witnesses stated that the conductor was physically attacked by several passengers. The scene became chaotic as bystanders gathered to witness the event, expressing their outrage over the situation.

Local police arrived at the Haripal bus stand following reports of the incident. Authorities confirmed that they are conducting an investigation into the allegations, which includes collecting statements from the student, witnesses, and the accused conductor.
