Student files FIR against PhysicsWallah for screening 'obscene scene' in class

Aaqib Bhat, a student activist in Kashmir, has lodged an FIR against the Srinagar branch of PhysicsWallah, a prominent online ed-tech platform, for showcasing a video containing what he deems as 'obscene scenes' during a class session. The video, a mashup of the song 'Ik Vaari Aa' from the movie 'Raabta', allegedly featured intimate scenes between actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon, sparking controversy over its appropriateness in an educational setting.

Bhat's action stems from his belief that such content is not only indecent but also detrimental to the educational environment. He questions PhysicsWallah's stance on incorporating entertainment into learning, arguing that the display of 'obscene scenes' contradicts the institution's purported educational goals.

Concerns raised by commentators on social media amplify the scrutiny on the incident, with questions directed towards the responsibility of the teacher and the silence of the Srinagar administration. Meanwhile, Aadil Kashmiri, the teacher allegedly responsible for airing the video, has distanced himself from PhysicsWallah, condemning the content shown to students and indicating his departure from the institution.
