Renowned author and philanthropist Sudha Murty has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha by President Droupadi Murmu.

Notably, Sudha Murty is the wife of Narayana Murthy, the esteemed founder of IT giant Infosys. Her son-in-law is UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, further showcasing her family's remarkable achievements on the global stage. Last year, she was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, for her exceptional contributions to social work, a recognition bestowed upon her by President Murmu.
