Angry mob vandalises TMC leader's house, sets fire over corruption allegations
Ayodhya witnessed an extraordinary moment of devotion on the occasion of Ram Navami as the sacred “Surya Tilak” ritual was performed on Ram Lalla at the grand Ram Temple. At exactly noon, during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat, rays of the sun fell directly on the deity’s forehead, illuminating it for nearly four minutes. The spiritually significant event drew immense attention, symbolising the divine birth of Lord Ram and creating a deeply emotional atmosphere among devotees.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the live telecast of the ritual from his residence, where he was seen offering prayers with folded hands and applauding the moment. This marks yet another instance of him witnessing the ceremony, having earlier viewed it in 2024 during a यात्रा to Assam. The Surya Tilak ritual, rooted in tradition and precise astronomical alignment, remains one of the most revered highlights of Ram Navami celebrations in Ayodhya.
Inside the sanctum, around 14 priests conducted the ritual with strict adherence to religious customs, followed by an aarti ceremony. Shortly after the ritual concluded, the temple doors were temporarily closed as part of the scheduled proceedings. The meticulous planning and execution of the event reflected both spiritual significance and technical precision.
Since early morning, Ayodhya saw a massive influx of devotees arriving from across the country to witness the celebrations. Long queues formed outside the temple as people waited for darshan after taking holy baths. The entire city resonated with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” while authorities ensured tight security arrangements, deploying forces across key locations to maintain order and allow a smooth and safe celebration.
