A disturbing case of mob violence has emerged in Malda, where a person was brutally beaten on suspicion of child abduction in the Mathurapur Goalpara area under the jurisdiction of Manikchak police station. The incident sparked widespread commotion as enraged villagers subjected the victim to a violent assault before police intervention, leading to a chaotic scene. Despite police efforts to disperse the crowd with lathi charge, the victim was rescued in critical condition and admitted to Malda Medical College and Hospital for urgent medical care.
