Angry mob vandalises TMC leader's house, sets fire over corruption allegations
Security was intensified along the Raigad coast in Maharashtra after a suspicious boat was spotted near the Revdanda coastline. According to officials, the boat was first seen around two nautical miles off the Korlai coast and was later detected on Indian Navy radar. The vessel reportedly had markings that resembled those of Pakistani boats. Authorities suspect that some individuals may have disembarked from the vessel before it drifted ashore.
Multiple agencies including the Raigad Police, Quick Response Team (QRT), Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), the Indian Navy, and the Coast Guard were immediately mobilized to the site. A red light was observed coming from the boat during a night-time search operation, following which security checkpoints and blockades were established in various locations across the region.
Raigad Superintendent of Police Anchal Dalal, along with other senior officers, visited the area to oversee the situation. Dalal attempted to reach the vessel using a barge but was forced to return due to adverse weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and strong winds. The weather has continued to hamper efforts to reach and inspect the boat.
A large contingent of police personnel has been deployed along the coastline, and overall district-level security has been strengthened as a precaution. Officials stated that the identity of the vessel and further details will be confirmed once the boat is successfully intercepted and examined.
