Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the Babri Masjid issue, alleging that Bengal would continue to witness the dominance of Babur’s name if the current government remains in power. In a strongly worded statement, he described Babur as a foreign invader and said that under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership such narratives would persist in the state. Adhikari further declared that if the BJP forms the government in April 2026, not only Babur but all traces of Mughal rulers would be erased from across Bengal, intensifying the political rhetoric ahead of the Assembly elections.
