Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
India’s 77th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and dignity at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Port, highlighting its role in national development and democratic values. The programme reflected the port’s long-standing contribution to the country’s economy and trade.
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national tricolour by Chairperson Rathendra Raman. Addressing the gathering, he spoke about the port’s rich historical legacy and its continued contribution to national trade, underscoring its efforts in strengthening the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
A ceremonial parade by the Central Industrial Security Force followed, which was inspected by the chairperson. He praised the CISF personnel for their vigilance, discipline and professionalism in safeguarding critical port infrastructure and ensuring public safety.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where Chairperson Rathendra Raman and Vice Chairperson Samrat Rahi honoured officers and employees of the port for their exemplary service and outstanding performance over the past year.
