A teacher was robbed of her jewelry by two men impersonating police officers. The incident took place at the Bengal's Alipurduar. According to local reports, the teacher was standing by the roadside, preparing to go to school when two individuals on a motorcycle approached her. They falsely claimed that a robbery was happening ahead and instructed her to remove her jewelry and place it in her bag for her safety.
The teacher complied with the instructions, taking off her jewelry and placing it in her bag. As she tried to take out the gold ornaments from her bag, one of the individuals, still posing as a police officer, allegedly told her, "We need to make a list of what you have in your bag." At this moment, the criminals grabbed her bag and fled on their motorcycle, leaving the teacher stranded.
The incident has caused alarm in the area, prompting an immediate response from local law enforcement. The police have initiated an investigation, reviewing available security camera footage and interviewing potential witnesses in the vicinity. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects are still at large. No arrests have been made as of now.
