Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav observed Raksha Bandhan away from his immediate family following his expulsion from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). On this occasion, he tied Rakhi with his cousin sister, Dr. Pinky Kumari, and shared the moment on social media platform X. He expressed his gratitude, writing, “On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, my cousin sister Dr. Pinky did the honor of tying Rakhi to me. I thank and express my gratitude to my sister Pinky Kumari.”
Tej Pratap has seven sisters, including MP Meesa Bharati and Rohini Acharya. This year, four sisters—Hema, Ragini, Chanda, and Anushka—sent Rakhi to him by post. However, none of the sisters, including Meesa Bharati and Rohini Acharya, visited him in person to tie Rakhi. Tej Pratap acknowledged their gesture in another post, saying, “On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, sisters Hema, Ragini, Chanda, and Anushka have sent me Rakhis. I thank and express my gratitude to all my sisters.”
Tej Pratap currently resides in his official government accommodation. His expulsion from the RJD and distancing from the Lalu Yadav family were announced by RJD chief Lalu Yadav. Meanwhile, his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav, celebrated Raksha Bandhan separately in Delhi.
The festival highlighted the separation within the Yadav family on a significant cultural occasion. Tej Pratap’s social media posts detailed his interaction with his cousin sister and the sisters who sent Rakhi, emphasizing the absence of a physical family gathering this year.
