Exit Polls show Congress surge in Haryana, NC+ alliance lead in J&K
Telangana Congress President, Revanth Reddy, is on the brink of becoming the CM of Telangana following Congress's substantial triumph in the state's recent Assembly elections. The victory is widely credited to Reddy's unwavering commitment and grassroots connection with party workers. Sources indicate that Revanth Reddy's swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow, December 6.
His announcement as the Chief Minister-elect comes after Congress emerged victorious in the state, securing 64 seats in the 119-member assembly house. Reddy played a pivotal role in addressing anti-incumbency sentiments against the BRS, making Congress a formidable alternative in the state.
Reddy ensured that the BRS faces anti-incumbency heat in Telangana and played a key role in making Congress a contender and an alternative to the BRS. The state of Telangana went to polls on November 30 and the result was declared on December 3, along with the state of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
The Congress secured a victory in the state by winning 64 seats. The BRS, which was in power in the state for two consecutive terms for 10 years, was a distant second with 39 of its candidates winning. The BJP and the AIMIM won 8 and 7 seats respectively, while a CPI candidate won from one seat in the 119-member assembly house.
