Renowned Telugu actor Megastar Chiranjeevi is poised to be honored with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award, during the Republic Day civic awards ceremony on January 26.
Recognizing his substantial contributions to Indian cinema and noteworthy philanthropic endeavors, Chiranjeevi will be acknowledged by the Government of India for his remarkable career spanning over 160 films. The actor's charitable initiatives, notably the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank and the launch of an ambulance service during the COVID-19 pandemic, have also played a pivotal role in securing this esteemed accolade.
The Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award in India, the Bharat Ratna being the highest honour.Chiranjeevi will be bestowed upon with the honour for his contribution to cinema in the country with over 160 films. Not just that, but he will also be honoured for the work he has done for the society through Chiranjeevi Blood Bank.
