Tensions flare at RG Kar Medical College as new Principal faces entry blockade

RG Kar Medical College witnessed a fresh bout of unrest as the newly appointed Principal, Dr. Manas Banerjee, was obstructed from entering the college premises on Friday. Supporters allegedly aligned with former principal Sandeep Ghosh were accused of impeding Dr. Banerjee's access to his office.

The situation escalated rapidly, prompting a substantial deployment of police forces to maintain order. However, following discussions with students, MP Dr. Shantanu Sen confirmed that the issue has been resolved.
