Thailand woman arrested for illegaly staying in Pushkar for 2 years; she was using fake visa

In a significant move against illegal immigration, the Ajmer CID Zone has apprehended a Thai national, Kanyaphat Noenhong, for overstaying her visa in Pushkar for over two years. Acting on directives from the Rajasthan state government and Police Headquarters, a special campaign is currently underway to identify and deport foreign nationals residing illegally in the state. The arrest on Wednesday highlighted a serious breach of security protocols at a local hospitality establishment.

Investigation revealed that the management of the hotel where the woman was staying had actively conspired to hide her illegal status. To facilitate her stay, the hotel administration entered a fraudulent visa number into the mandatory online 'C-Form'—a document required for registering foreign guests. Forensic checks by the CID found that the visa number used actually belonged to a Ugandan national, proving that the records were deliberately falsified to mislead immigration authorities.

ASP and Foreign Registration Officer Rajesh Meena stated that the hotel manager knowingly provided shelter to the Thai national, violating the Immigration and Foreigners Act 2025. By creating forged travel documents and misreporting data, the hotel management committed a serious criminal offense. Consequently, a formal case has been registered at the Pushkar police station against both the Thai woman and the hotel operator for forgery and illegal sheltering.
