His security personnel swiftly intervened, catching the slipper and throwing it back, preventing any harm to the actor.
The incident occurred during the public homage for late actor Vijayakanth, where prominent personalities from the Tamil film industry and political circles paid their respects. Vijayakanth, the founder of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), passed away in Chennai at the age of 71 after battling an illness, and his mortal remains were displayed for public homage at Island Grounds.
