A rave party on Ghodbunder Road in Thane, neighboring Mumbai, was disrupted by the Thane Police Crime Branch just before New Year's celebrations, leading to the detention of more than 100 youths, including 12 girls. The police took action against the gathering, held in a private plot, after receiving information about drug consumption. Various intoxicants, including LSD, Charas, and Ganja, along with chillum and liquor, were reportedly available at the party. The detained individuals are currently undergoing medical examinations, accused of drug consumption during the event, as the police seized drugs like LSD, Charas, and Ganja during the raid conducted around 2 o'clock in the night.
The rave party's mastermind, a resident of Kalwa Dombivali area, now faces legal consequences, with the police also confiscating 19 two-wheelers from the attendees. The detained individuals have been taken to Thane Civil Hospital for medical examinations. This incident highlights the authorities' efforts to curb illegal activities during festive occasions, especially focusing on drug-related issues in such gatherings.
