Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 7th India Mobile Congress (IWC) and 100 5G labs in the presence of industry leaders, including Akash Ambani (Chairperson, Reliance Jio), Sunil Bharti Mittal (Chairperson, Bharti Enterprises), and Kumar Mangalam Birla (Chairperson, Aditya Birla Group).
The IWC is a three-day event aimed at fostering discussions on mobile technology and its implications for India's digital transformation. PM Modi highlighted India's startup ecosystem's remarkable growth, with over one lakh startups currently in operation. He also emphasized the rapid expansion of 5G technology, with approximately 5 lakh 5G base stations deployed across the country in just one year.
The event focuses on the crucial role of mobile technology in driving India's digital progress and highlights India's contributions to the global telecom industry, with the country exporting telecom equipment to over 70 nations. The inauguration of 100 5G labs aligns with India's push for technology adoption, making the nation future-ready in the era of mobile connectivity.
