A disturbing incident of theft has been reported at Bagdogra Kali Temple, revealing the loss of gold and silver jewelry worth lakhs. The theft, discovered on Tuesday morning, unfolded after the temple priests, following the night's worship, locked the gate only to find it broken the next day. The local residents, upon reaching the temple, immediately notified the Bagdogra police, who promptly arrived at the scene.
Local residents express concern over a series of thefts in various temples in Bagdogra, emphasizing the need for increased police patrolling during the night to ensure the safety of religious institutions. Sanjeev Sinha, a committee member and temple head, stated that valuable jewelry dedicated to the deity had been stolen, urging the police to swiftly investigate the incident and apprehend the culprits responsible for the recurring thefts.
