Jr Doctors announce 'hunger strike' from today, says demands not met
A disturbing incident has shaken the education community in Uttar Pradesh as a school teacher, Tripta Tyagi, was caught on video encouraging her students to slap a Muslim classmate. The incident, captured on camera, has sparked outrage across the nation, prompting legal action and strong condemnation.
Tripta Tyagi, who is both a teacher and the principal of Neha Public School in Muzaffarnagar, has faced severe backlash for her actions in the viral video. In the footage, she can be seen making communal remarks while instructing her students to slap the visibly distraught 7-year-old boy, who was left in tears.
Despite the widespread condemnation, Tripta Tyagi remains defiant. She has expressed no remorse for her behavior and has tried to rationalize her actions, claiming that her intention was to "control" the students in the school environment.
"This wasn't my intention. I am accepting my mistake, but this was unnecessarily turned into a big issue," Ms. Tyagi said in her response to the controversy.
However, her justification has done little to appease the public anger. Many have demanded strict action against her for promoting such behavior, which is not only morally reprehensible but also potentially harmful to the young minds under her care.
Authorities have taken the matter seriously and are taking legal action against Tripta Tyagi. A case has been registered against her, and district officials have also indicated that departmental action will be taken against the teacher.
Aravind Mallappa Bangari, District Magistrate of Muzaffarnagar, confirmed the actions being taken: "We have done a full investigation. On the complaint of the child's father, we have registered a case against the accused teacher, departmental action is also being taken against the teacher."
