Three 9mm cartridges recovered from Delhi Blast site : Reports

The shadows of Delhi's deadly Red Fort blast grew longer as investigators unearthed three mysterious 9mm cartridges—two live rounds and one empty shell—at the very spot where the Hyundai i20 car exploded on November 10. These high-caliber cartridges, typically reserved for India's armed forces/security forces and strictly banned for civilian use, tumbled from the wreckage of the Hyundai i20 that exploded near the Lal Qila Metro Station Gate No 1 at Subhash Marg, turning a routine probe into a head-scratching riddle. No pistol fragments or weapon traces marred the scorched debris, leaving cops to wonder if the ammunitions spilled accidentally from the stash or served as a taunting signature from a larger terror web, now linked to the busted "white-collar terrorism" module that hoarded tons of explosives across states.

As per reports, the Delhi Police sifting through the site's twisted metal under tight security, ruled out any mix-up from their own response teams by cross-checking all officer's ammunition logs who were present at the scene, ensuring these weren't stray friendly fire. The find amplifies fears of a sophisticated plot, with the cartridges' military-grade origins hinting at deeper infiltration that could have armed more attacks beyond the fiery blast that hurled shrapnel like confetti into nearby crowds.

Investigators are now probing how the cartridges were present at the site including the possibility that they may have fallen out of the i20 car during or after the explosion. As the probe barrels forward, this ammunitions anomaly not only baffles ballistics experts but also spotlights glaring gaps in tracking prohibited gear, urging a nationwide sweep for similar threats before another spark ignites urban panic. For the national capital that prides itself on resilience, the Red Fort's bloodied pavement remains a stark scar, a call to arms for smarter surveillance and swifter justice to honor the fallen and safeguard the living from the next unseen shadow.
