A three storey building in north Delhi’s Roshanara Road collapsed after catching fire on Wednesday, as per reports.
Around 100 fire-fighters had a narrow escape as the three-storey godown that had caught fire collapsed in north Delhi while they were dousing the blaze. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
The fire department said it received a call about a fire at a factory on Roshanara Road near Pulbangash Metro station, but when its teams reached the spot, they saw that it was a crash.
About 100 firefighters are on the scene, the ministry said. “We received a call around 11.50 am regarding a fire in a factory near Jaipur Golden Transport on Roshanara Road. 18 fire engines went to the scene. During the firefighting operation, the three-storey building that caught fire collapsed, but luckily our firemen had a narrow escape,” said Atul Garg, director of the Delhi Fire Service.
According to him, firefighting operations are underway, with the fact that the cause of the fire is not yet known.
