Tightened security at Nabanna post unauthorised entry by Subhendu Adhikari

In a surprising development on Wednesday, state opposition leader Subhendu Adhikary, accompanied by four MLAs, made an unanticipated visit to Nabanna, the state administrative building, while Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. 

A detailed report on the security breach has been submitted to Nabanna today, pointing out the negligence of certain policemen that allowed Adhikary's direct entry. 

In response to the security lapse, increased vigilance and tightened security measures have been implemented at Nabanna. Kolkata Police has deployed multiple constables at the entrance of the Chief Minister's office, with similar enhancements at other access points. Vehicles are now required to obtain prior permission before entering Nabanna, ensuring controlled access.

This incident has triggered a reevaluation of the overall security infrastructure of key government facilities. Authorities are reinforcing security protocols to prevent unauthorized access, prioritizing the safety and integrity of administrative buildings.
