TMC asks ECI to make polling booths in highrise building complexes

Today, the Trinamool Congress party voiced its demands before the Chief Election Commissioner in Kolkata. The party emphasized the need for electoral reforms to ensure a fair and transparent democratic process. Trinamool's demands are rooted in the principles of accessibility, efficiency, and impartiality.

Trinamool's demands include:

  • Have eleven acceptable ID cards to vote
  •  Voting should be held in Bengal on one day i.e. in one phase.
  • Voting booths should be in multi-storey buildings.
  • Ensure that central forces are not pressurized by BJP
  • Keep a close eye on Subhendu Adhikari as a matter of habit
  • Central agencies will not have to obstruct the electoral process
  • There should be free and fair elections
