TMC begins celebrations as it leads in all 6 seats in Bengal by-election

Trinamool Congress (TMC) has firmly established itself in the lead in all six constituencies in the Bengal by-elections, with voting trends consistently favoring the ruling party. As of 10 a.m., the party is ahead in every seat, with vote margins progressively increasing across rounds of counting. Election officials have confirmed that the counting process is progressing smoothly, with no major disruptions reported from any of the constituencies.

In Sitai, TMC holds a commanding lead of over 60,000 votes after the fifth round of counting. Naihati is also seeing a substantial lead, with TMC ahead by nearly 30,000 votes in the sixth round, showing steady growth in the party’s margin. Haroa has recorded a lead of 41,646 votes after the fourth round, reflecting significant support for TMC in the region. Medinipur has a lead of 11,398 votes for TMC, also in the fourth round, with the party maintaining a consistent edge.

In Madharihat, TMC’s lead is 14,610 votes after the third round, while in Taldangra, the party is ahead by 6,284 votes after the second round. These results show a clear advantage for TMC across urban and rural regions. The party’s leads are significant enough to suggest an overwhelming victory, with no other party coming close in any constituency so far.

Election officials have confirmed that the counting is taking place in multiple rounds across constituencies, with Naihati being counted in six rounds, while others like Sitai, Haroa, and Medinipur are already in the fourth or fifth rounds. The counting process has remained orderly, and security measures have been heightened to ensure smooth proceedings. Local authorities have not reported any issues, and the overall atmosphere remains calm at the counting centers.
