Ever since the announcement of the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026, reports of clashes among party workers have started surfacing from various locations. The latest incident has been reported from Kolkata's Maniktala area, where supporters of Trinamool and Bharatiya Janata Party clashed with each other on Friday evening.
As per reports, the tussle came during the BJP candidate Tapas Roy's campaign procession. BJP has alleged that they were attacked by the Trinamool supporters. This has caused quite a ruckus at Maniktala and affected traffic movement for a while. Police intervene to calm the situation down.
While the BJP has fielded Tapas Roy from this crucial seat, the Trinamool Congress has announced Shreya Pande as its candidate from this seat.
