BJP gherao 'New TMC' MLA Sandipan Saha's house in Entally, protest over 'cut money'
The Trinamool Congress has alleged that several of its party agents, including a booth president in Bali, were picked up from their homes late Monday night. According to the party, raids were carried out in multiple localities, including Satish Chakraborty Lane, triggering tension in the area.
TMC candidate Kailash Mishra rushed to the spot after receiving the information and questioned officials about the alleged detentions. During the confrontation, a scuffle broke out between Mishra, police personnel and election officials, escalating the situation on the ground.
Following the altercation, Mishra staged a sit-in protest outside Belur police station late at night, demanding clarity on the arrests and action against those responsible. The incident has added to the growing political friction in the region amid the ongoing election process.
