Shahidul Haque, the Aam Janata Unnayan Party candidate for the Nandigram assembly constituency, has leveled serious allegations against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) top leadership. Haque, who also serves as the state spokesperson for the party led by MLA Humayun Kabir, claimed that the TMC hierarchy orchestrated a massive, covert financial operation specifically designed to defeat high-profile BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram. The candidate directly targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, and the election strategy organization I-PAC for allegedly executing this secret blueprint.

According to Haque, the dynamic trio of Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, and I-PAC jointly structured a staggering budget of ₹100 crore dedicated solely to shifting the electoral tide against Adhikari. He alleged that on the eve of the election, vast sums of liquid cash were packaged into envelopes and systematically distributed to household doorsteps across Nandigram. Haque asserted that while TMC leaders and field agents under political instructions went from door to door offering financial inducements on behalf of TMC candidate Pavitra Kar, the politically conscious electorate of Nandigram successfully outsmarted the ruling party's strategy.

The most controversial aspect of Haque’s claim involves the alleged origin of these extensive election funds. He explicitly asserted that the hundreds of crores flooded into Nandigram were not acquired through any legal or recognized domestic channels. Instead, Haque raised a massive security concern by claiming that the capital was funneled into West Bengal from foreign countries, specifically naming Bangladesh and Pakistan. He alleged that this cross-border capital entered the state's political ecosystem via illegal hawala transactions and clandestine financial routes to manipulate local democratic outcomes.
