Trinamool Congress MP Dev's brother, Vikram Adhikari, has made an explosive allegation against the local leadership of the party.
He has claimed that Trinamool leaders are collecting cut money in the actor-turned-politician's name and that the TMC leaders are not giving accommodation to the party workers under the government scheme without taking a cut. These allegations have raised concerns among the local Trinamool Congress leaders.
Vikram Adhikari, who lives in Dev's village Mahishda in Keshpur with his wife and two children, further claimed that he was being shot with a gun on his shoulder by the local Trinamool leadership, who are trying to identify him as 'Dev ke bhai' (brother of Dev). Adhikari alleged that TMC leaders are extorting money by using his brother's name and that his complaints about this issue have not reached the ears of the MP.
In 2016, Vikram Adhikari had received a house under the government housing scheme, but he had to pay money to the local TMC leaders. He further claimed that even after informing the administrative authorities about this issue, no solution was found. Additionally, he said that despite repeated requests, his problem was not resolved, and he did not get a house in the scheme.
The Keshpur Block Trinamool President, Pradyut Panja, said that the party is investigating the serious allegations made by the MP's brother. He also claimed that the entire matter will be investigated thoroughly.
Apart from being an actor, Dev, or Deepak Adhikari, has been involved in politics for a long time and is a Member of Parliament for Trinamool Congress.
