TMC worker's body recovered from pond in Khejuri, East Medinipur; stir in locality

A sense of shock and tension enveloped the Khejuri area in East Medinipur district as the lifeless body of a local Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker, identified as Shambhu Das, was discovered in a pond on Thursday morning. Shambhu Das, a fisherman by profession, left home late at night after receiving a call and failed to return.

Concerned family members initiated a search and were horrified to witness Shambhu Das's body being lowered into the pond during their efforts. The Bloc Trinamool leadership asserts that the incident was a result of foul play orchestrated by the BJP. However, the BJP has vehemently denied any involvement in the alleged murder.

Residing in West Bhanbanbari village of Janka Gram Panchayat in Khejuri number two block, Shambhu Das's family members disclosed that he left home in response to a late-night call. The Bloc Trinamool leadership claims that this incident is a politically motivated murder, pointing fingers at the BJP. Nevertheless, the BJP firmly refutes the allegations. Local authorities, taking charge of the situation, have seized the body for post-mortem examination and initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Shambhu Das's tragic demise.
