A school bus carrying students broke down on Vidyasagar Setu (U) around 7:45 am on Tuesday, causing concern for the children travelling to school. The bus had approximately 30 to 50 students on board at the time of the incident.
On receiving information, Kolkata Traffic Police acted promptly to avoid any delay in the students reaching their school. A traffic police van was immediately arranged and brought to the spot on the bridge to assist the stranded children.
Under the supervision and initiative of Sergeant Imran, the students were safely shifted to the traffic police vehicle. The coordinated effort ensured that all the children reached Singhania School by 8:20 am.
The swift and humanitarian response by the Kolkata Traffic Police has drawn widespread appreciation, highlighting their commitment to public service beyond routine traffic management.
