In a heartbreaking incident, three children lost their lives when their hut caught fire in Khadit village within the Jasrana Police Station area of Uttar Pradesh. The victims, Saamna (7), Anees (4), and Reshma (2), were sleeping in their hut in the Dera Banjara area when the fire erupted late Saturday night.
Shakil, the father, attempted to rescue his children but tragically lost two of them in the fire, while the third succumbed to injuries at a hospital later. Shakil, who sustained critical burn injuries, is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Agra, according to SP Rural Ranvijay Singh.
The devastating incident unfolded as Shakil and his wife Mamjadi were asleep in the hut, only to wake up and discover it engulfed in flames. Anees and Reshma lost their lives on the spot, while Saamna breathed her last in a Firozabad hospital.
District Magistrate Ujjwal Kumar confirmed that relief from the Disaster Relief Fund is being extended to the grieving family. A team, led by SDM Jasrana, has been constituted to conduct a thorough investigation into the tragic incident, seeking to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal fire.
