Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A major fraud complaint has been filed against Niland International Travels after nearly 700 Hajj pilgrims alleged that the agency’s head, Mahbur Rahman, disappeared after taking advance payments from them. Each pilgrim reportedly paid Tk 50,000 over the past few days, hoping to secure their spot for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.
The victims filed a written complaint at Ecopark police station today, stating that they had been preparing for the pilgrimage for months and are now mentally and financially devastated. They allege that the owner stopped all communication and shut down contact points before disappearing.
Police have launched an investigation into the case. According to officials, efforts are underway to trace the accused and verify the extent of the fraud.
