India’s 77th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and enthusiasm at the South Eastern Railway Headquarters in Garden Reach, Kolkata. The General Manager of South Eastern Railway, Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, hoisted the national Tricolour and extended Republic Day greetings to officers, staff and security personnel present on the occasion.
Following the flag hoisting, the National Anthem was rendered as senior railway officials and employees stood in solemn attention. Addressing the gathering, Shri Mishra highlighted the democratic traditions of the country and the core values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. He underlined the vital role of Indian Railways in nation-building and praised employees for their dedication and sense of duty.
The programme reflected a strong spirit of patriotism and discipline throughout the Republic Day celebration. Members of the railway family reaffirmed their commitment to national unity, integrity and progress, echoing South Eastern Railway’s continued resolve to serve the nation.
