A local Trinamool leader, Malay Naskar alias Gora, has been accused of raping the mother of a BJP worker in Baruipur, South 24 Parganas. The alleged incident occurred on Friday, where the victim filed a complaint at the Baruipur police station. Despite two days passing since the written complaint, no arrests have been made in connection to the case. In response, BJP Mahila Morcha workers staged a roadblock near Jora Mandirtala in Baruipur on Sunday, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused Trinamool leader.
Local sources reveal that the victim was collecting leaves for firewood in a garden in front of her house on Friday when Malay Naskar allegedly threatened her with a sharp weapon and sexually assaulted her. Following the assault, he reportedly used a towel to strangle her and threw her into a pond, accompanied by threats to keep silent about the incident.
