Trinamool Mahila Congress protest on Red Road against central government's deprivation

Ministers and women leaders of the Trinamool Congress Party, including Chandrima Bhattacharya, Aparupa Poddar, Shashi Panja, and Mala Roy, gathered for a 32-hour dharna under the Gandhi statue on Red Road in Kolkata on Wednesday morning.

The protest was organized to address the issue of Bengal being deprived of funds from the central government for various projects. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had earlier raised her voice on this issue during her 30-hour dharna on March 29.

The women leaders also spoke about the hyperactivity of the ED and CBI, and a folk dance was also organized under the stage. The protest will continue until 6 pm on Thursday.
