A teacher was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl student in the Baruipur railway quarters, South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The arrest was made following a complaint filed by the victim's family, leading to immediate action by Baruipur police.
The accused, a railway employee who also provided private tuition, is currently under police custody as the investigation progresses. The victim, a class VIII student, attended the teacher's tuition classes when the accused allegedly committed obscene acts under the guise of teaching.
The family claims the teacher threatened the girl with harm if she spoke up, leading her to stay silent out of fear. After noticing her deteriorating mental condition, the family took her for counseling, where the girl confided in her mother about the abuse.
Acting swiftly, the police arrested the teacher. Baruipur SDPO Atish Biswas confirmed that an investigation is underway, with the accused being questioned.
