The mystery surrounding the discovery of dead bodies in trolley bags in Newtown was swiftly resolved by the Techno City police station, resulting in the apprehension of two suspects, including a bank employee, within a mere 24 hours. During routine Naka checking in Patashpur, police detained individuals in a white car marked with bloodstains, sparking a deeper investigation that unveiled the grim truth behind the murder.
According to police sources, the arrested suspect, Soumya Kanti Jana, allegedly murdered 80-year-old Subodh Sarkar over a financial dispute. Sarkar, residing in Sodepur, had reportedly lent Rs 7 lakh to Jana, who faced mounting pressure to repay the debt. This pressure allegedly led to Sarkar's murder, which was subsequently concealed by packing his body in a trolley bag and disposing of it in a secluded area in Newtown. As investigations continue, authorities are diligently pursuing leads to uncover the full extent of the crime, emphasizing the swift action taken to apprehend the suspects and seize the vehicle used in the disposal of the body.
