In a tragic road accident in Rajasthan’s Pali district, two children were killed and 28 others injured when a private bus overturned near the Gajan Garh Toll Plaza late Friday night. The bus was travelling from Pratapgarh to Jaisalmer with around 50 passengers on board.
According to police, the accident occurred around 2 am, and all the injured were immediately rushed to Bangar Hospital in Pali for treatment. Superintendent of Police Adarsh Sindhu identified the deceased as Sona (7) from Khetpalia village and Divya (1) from Borkheda village in Madhya Pradesh.
Survivors have accused the driver of reckless and negligent driving, claiming that overspeeding caused the vehicle to lose control and overturn. District officials and police swiftly arrived at the site, restored traffic flow, and later visited the injured at the hospital.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway. The local administration has assured all necessary medical care and announced possible compensation for the victims’ families.
