Two youths caught entering CRPF camp in Rampur without permission, security tightened

Two youths were apprehended after entering the CRPF Group Centre in Rampur without authorization, prompting heightened security measures at the camp. Security personnel at the main gate noticed the suspicious individuals and immediately detained them before handing them over to local police authorities for questioning. The incident has put both the CRPF and civil administration on high alert.

According to Deputy Commandant Saurav Rajput, the two individuals had entered the camp premises on a motorcycle and were seen roaming suspiciously. Initial questioning revealed unsatisfactory answers, with the youths attempting to mislead authorities. Upon further questioning, one identified himself as Naeem from Patwai village and the other as Bhura from Ghosipura village. A formal investigation has been initiated to determine their intentions.

Following the apprehension, Civil Lines Police Inspector Omkar Singh confirmed that both youths were issued challans and that mobile phones, identity documents, and contacts are being examined. Authorities are probing potential links to suspicious activities and the purpose of their unauthorized entry into the CRPF camp.

The CRPF Group Centre in Rampur has a history of security threats. On December 31, 2007, terrorists armed with AK-47 rifles and grenades attacked the camp, entering through Gate Number 3. The attack resulted in the deaths of seven CRPF personnel and a rickshaw driver. Since then, security protocols at the camp have been significantly strengthened.

In response to the latest incident, additional security personnel have been deployed, and surveillance measures intensified to prevent any potential threat. Officials emphasized that strict vigilance and verification procedures remain in place to safeguard personnel and sensitive infrastructure.
